Skirts for Spring

With golden days and warmer temperatures, there are few things I love wearing more than a gorgeous skirt.

So girlish, delicate and feminine.

.

I love these midi length skirts for weekend brunches and spring weddings. But that cobalt coloured full midi skirt and the floral midi skirt with the slit would be stunning for an evening date!

For casual day wear or a sexy night out, I adore the sass of a shorter skirt. :)
Show off those legs!

Lastly, I am kind of obsessed with maxi length skirts. Not only are they effortless to wear, but they elongate the body in a wonderful way.

They will also forever remind me of my Mama, and maybe that's why I love them so. Growing up, she was always wearing the Laura Ashley full-length skirts that were so popular in the 90's.

Do you have a favorite item in your spring wardrobe, my dears?

All these beauties are from ASOS.
It's taking everything in me not to break my cash diet and purchase one myself!

Sexy-back

There is just something about hoop earrings.
When I put a pair on I instantly feel sultry, carefree, and dare I say it?
A little more wild

My inner Bridget Bardot is unleashed, and I can't help but embrace a more
womanly, exotic, and bohemian vibe.

They can elevate the simplest outfit to bombshell status, and make you feel fantastic.
Like you know you got it going on...

*Ok maybe that's just in my head*

Whatever their magic super powers may be,
they are definitely my go-to when I want to get my sexy-back.

How about you? What makes you feel gorgeous?

Happy hump day!!!

Ink it?

Ok, so I know tattoos aren't for everyone...
But,
just wait...

These are ethereal, oh so feminine,
and,
I think I'm in love.

Sheer washes of colour, vibrant and bold,
delicate lines and markings that imitate the finesse of a brush stroke,
intensity and opacity,
Oh my.

Definitely falling hard.

This new trend in water-colour tattooing is absolutely gorgeous!

I'm smitten!
And if I were the committing kind {I may or may not have a small one tucked away somewhere},
I would love love love to have something similar to the last one above.

I'm curious,
would you ever consider one for yourself?

Happy hump day lovlies!

Pretty in pink

Ok, so I always thought Helen Mirren was a goddess.
And just when I thought she couldn't get any better...
She surprises us all.

"I just thought it would be fun to dye my hair pink," Mirren told reporters, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "I mean, honestly, I was watching America's Next Top Model and the season where there were the British girls. Well the British girl who won [Sophie Sumner], she had pink hair, and I thought, 'That looks really pretty.' So I'm copying her, basically."

Honestly, how absolutely fantastic is she?
Would you ever go bubble gum pink or a pretty lilac?
It could be oh so pretty. Especially with spring just around the corner.

Happy hump day lovelies!

Valentine's Dresses

Who will you be spending Valentine's Day with, my lovelies?
Christina and I will be having dinner with some friends at our favorite hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant.
Whether you'll be having a romantic evening with your love or going out with the girls, if you could choose any dress (all from ASOS), which would you wear?

Something sassy? and red?

Something pretty? and pink?

Something sexy? and black?

Or something beautiful, but altogether different?

I have to say, those red dresses are killing it. HOT!  I'd wear the one in the middle. :)

Happy Friday!!!

All About Hats

I don't know if you've noticed, but hats *especially of the wide-brimmed variety, are everywhere these days {at least in blog, pinterest, and tumblr land}. They are effortlessly cool, and hippie chic.

*Bonus they won't flatten the wavy hair you've worked so hard to achieve.

My personal preference is the slightly floppy 70's throwback style. The kind Hollywood starlets have been sporting for quite some time now {maybe I'm a little behind the trend}. Oh well, better late than never right?
Anyways, they are a fab alternative to toques {beanies for you Americans}, as they keep the wind, rain, or snow from messing up your hair, keeping you cute and warm.
Who says you can't have it all?
Well, in a hat anyways.

Disclaimer:

One thing is for sure, I am definitely not a model. So thank you for baring with me.
Also, a model's job is not an easy one.
Sure the sun is shining in these pics, but do not be fooled.
My hands (not pictured for a reason), were purple.
Yes, Rachel and I were freezing our a**** off!

Foolish? Yes.

But, blogging causes to you do absurd things from time to time.

*Need proof that that it was indeed freezing? See the ice crystals below.

Our location for this fun photo shoot was the spectacular Alouette Lake.
Gorgeous, right?!

It truly is one of our favorite places. And it's magical this time of year.
I'll just remember to pack mitts next time we visit!
